HOW TO FIND YOUR RING SIZE

The right ring size is important. For maximum accuracy, we recommend visiting a local jewelry store to have your finger measured by a professional. If you are in the Chicago area, feel free to contact us and our professional jeweler will gladly do it for you.

Your ring should fit comfortably. It should be loose enough to slide over your knuckle, but your ring shouldn’t turn around too easily once it’s on.

If you are planning a surprise proposal, we find that asking a family member (mother, sister) or friend usually works. Most people are thrilled to help with that kind of surprise!

Before printing, please ensure that the page scale is set to 100% on your print dialog box. Read and follow the instructions carefully. Keep in mind that the measurement will not be accurate if it is not done properly. We always recommend getting your measurement taken in person if at all possible.

After measuring your ring size at home if you wanted to confirm it before you place an order for your final selected ring, you can place an order for a silver band which will cost you US$10 on your measured ring size. Wear it for a couple of days. If it's comfortable on your finger then you can place an order for the final selected ring. We will refund your US$10 (Silver Band Price) after you place an order for the final ring.

RESIZING

As most of our rings are made to order, we would love to start with the correct size. But we understand that if your proposal is a surprise that it’s tricky to get the correct size before you order.

We do not charge anything to resize your ring (for the first time). But you have to return the ring to our manufacturing unit and you will have to pay US$75 shipping fees for the resized ring.

However, there are some exceptions. Some designs and settings, like our eternity rings, are not resizable. Some rings can only be resized within a limited range. If certain rings are resized too much, diamonds on the ring shank/band may fall out easily in the future. With that in mind, please try to find the accurate ring size before placing an order.

TIPS TO GET IT RIGHT

We recommend measuring your ring size multiple times to ensure an accurate reading. Our finger sizes tend to fluctuate, based on the time of day or the season. Avoid measuring your ring size when your finger might be swollen (in extreme temps, after a hot shower, after exercising, or right when woken up) or when it might be contracted (after swimming or washing dishes, or coming in from the cold).

At Barbara Maison, we are committed to delivering our products as quickly as possible. Here’s an overview of what to expect:

Custom Jewelry Manufacturing: Each custom jewelry piece takes approximately 3 business weeks to create. Once manufacturing is complete, we will seek your confirmation before shipping.

Shipping and Delivery: You will receive your order in about 3 weeks, from the time it is made to delivery. Please be aware that Barbara Maison is not responsible for delays caused by severe weather or other unforeseen conditions. We do not ship to PO boxes. If the customer changes the delivery address with the shipping company while the parcel is in transit, the customer will be responsible for any resulting delivery delays.

Free Delivery: We offer free delivery to your address. Note that the customer is responsible for any duties or taxes imposed by local authorities.

Product Changes: If the customer wishes to make any changes to the product before shipment, the manufacturing time will restart from day one.
Delivery Assurance: While we offer guaranteed delivery and prioritize creating your ring on an urgent basis, please note that any delays caused by the shipping company are beyond our control and we are not responsible for this situation. We appreciate your understanding in such situations.

We stand by our work.We will repair your jewelry whenever it needs repairing for as long as you own it.

Also, you can send your jewelry to us at any time for a free thorough cleaning and inspection to ensure it is sparkling beautifully and in top shape.

There are a few limitations to our warranty:

Repair Fees: All manufacturing defects are covered under free repair service within the first one year of ownership (this does not include physical damage or replacement of focal stones). After one year of ownership, a small labor and/or materials fee will apply for repair services.

-> Physical damage to the ring is not covered under our warranty. However, we can arrange the repair through our authorized jeweller at a minimal cost.
Lost Center/Focal Stones: Our warranty does not include the replacement of lost center/focal stones. We recommend you obtain insurance in your piece for the unlikely event of a focal stone falling out or getting damaged.
One-of-a-Kind Stones: Many of our pieces feature one-of-a-kind stones. If these stones become damaged, we will do our best to replace them with a comparable stone, but color and type may vary, depending on what we have available.
Shipping Costs: Clients are responsible for shipping costs (to and from our studio) for cleanings, inspections, and repair work.
Resizing: At Barbara Maison, we understand the importance of a perfect fit when it comes to your jewelry, especially rings. That’s why we offer a resizing service to ensure your ring fits comfortably and beautifully at a minimal cost.
Resizing Limitations: Rings can be resized to either increase or decrease by a maximum of one full size.
Resizing beyond this range may compromise the integrity and aesthetics of the piece and, therefore, cannot be accommodated.
Exceptions: Full Eternity Rings: Rings featuring a shank adorned with full eternity stones cannot be resized due to their intricate design. Instead, customers are encouraged to exchange the ring for the correct size. Our customer service team is happy to assist with this process.
Plain Gold Bands: In some cases, if resizing is not ideal, we may offer an exchange for an identical ring in your size instead. This is only applicable for plain gold bands without any stones. The exchanged ring will be handcrafted from scratch, ensuring the same quality and craftsmanship.
Resizing Costs & Shipping: Resizing is not free; however, we offer it at a minimal cost. Clients are responsible for shipping costs both ways. For international customers, this includes customs fees.

Please note that repairs or polishing done by third-party jewelers will void the warranty.
